Tackle Africa

If anyone is interested in entering a football team in order to raise money for Africa - in order the help prevent HIV / AIDS - then please 'read on' (and / or pass on the following details). Thank you.

Picture the scene – your team playing six-a-side football for 12 hours in Manchester’s only Football Marathon, all in the picturesque setting of West Didsbury & Chorlton Football Club.

As well as t-shirts for all players, fundraising and training guides, and physios and trophies on the day, you’ll also be supplied with top quality images of the action captured by a professional photographer. And that’s not all.

You’ll have the satisfaction of knowing that all the funds you raise will go towards preventing HIV/AIDS in Africa.

As you know, poor countries are especially vulnerable to HIV/AIDS because they often don't have the resources to treat and help patients. A staggering 14.8 million children in sub-Saharan Africa alone have lost one or both parents to AIDS.

Last year’s Manchester Football Marathon raised £6,500 to fight this silent killer. But we need more help and more money to save more young lives. This year we want to do even better. £10,000 could teach 60,000 children about HIV/AIDS.

The deadline for team registration is Friday 12th July, so please join us and be part of this wonderful event.
