‘Dead rubber’ for us…

…any excuse for a party for the Celtic fans, I’m sure, and a chance for Pep to rotate. That’s about as excited as I can get about this one.

v Celtic

Etihad Stadium

Difficult one to predict…but here’s my forecasted starting 11, subs and outcome.

4-4-1-1:

Angus to get his chance in net ‘from the off’? I’d say it’s a good possibility.

Gael & Pablo senior to come in as left & right backs; Bacary to start also but as a central defender and to partner EDS defender Tosin.

Fernando to step in for this fixture and partnering him in the middle of midfield should be young Spanish midfielder, Aleix. Nolito & Leroy the ‘wing men’.

Sergio to help Kelechi break back into a starting role, as the young Nigerian looks to cover for the Argentine for the next 4, domestic games after this match.

Willy the keeper cover, Pablo junior to join the ranks on the side alongside fellow “defender” Aleks. Fabian to make his return to the bench at least following his latest injury and the attacking cavalry comes in the form of David, Kevin & Jesus.

Notable absences: Outfield player with gloves on (rested / not selected), Vincent Kompany (injured), Nicholas Otamendi (rested / not selected), John Stones (rested / not selected), Fernandinho (suspended for 1 more game in Europe as well as 3 domestic games), Ilkay Gundogan (rested / not selected), Raheem Sterling (injured) & Yaya Toure (not in the Champions League, group-stage squad).

Do I agree with Pep’s (predicted) line-up?

Why not…

Result? A draw.
