Those were the words from our manager after Saturday’s game and it sums us up pretty well at the moment, I’d say.
I’d also add that, if this current City side was a type of Christmas chocolate, it’d be one with a soft centre for sure.
Not converting more of the many chances we create AND looking so vulnerable, plus perhaps-even a little slow in the centre of our defence; it has to be considered a concern if we are to challenge for both domestic & European trophies again this season.
Blog announcement
I’m not going to be covering the Club World Cup in my blogs. Next up for me will be a pre-match posting ahead of our away trip to Everton on Wednesday 27th December (8:15pm KO GMT).
I want to take this opportunity to wish Tom Lockyer a speedy recovery following his cardiac arrest during his game yesterday.
Latest reports are that the 29-year-old, Welsh international defender is in a stable condition and my thoughts are with him, his family and friends at this worrying time.
In the meantime, I wish you all a very happy Christmas and if you do have any, at least try to enjoy YOUR softs centres…
Cheers Steve have a good un
