Predictions v PSG

Straight to it with a look at the likely 11 etc. in Paris tonight…

v Paris Saint-Germain

4-5-1 / 4-2-3-1:

Basically, apart from the recovered-sooner-than-expected Joe likely to resume his place in net and Bacary in for Pablo who played the 94 minutes on Saturday; I think it’ll be the same starting line-up that faced Bournemouth at the weekend.

Bench too - aside from the afore mentioned right-back swap, a swap also with Caballero stepping back / Richard Wright stepping out; it’s ‘same as’ I think.

Notable absences: Vincent Kompany (injured), Fabian Delph (presumably still on his way back from injury / in training – no firm confirmation on that), Raheem Sterling (injured) and Yaya Toure (injured).

Do I agree with Pellegrini’s (predicted) line-up?

Simply put…yep.

Result? I was leaning towards a narrow but creditable defeat that could be turned around in the second leg. However, I’m leaning back the other way slightly; giving us a more-than-creditable draw. The way we’ve played away on occasions in this competition this season then there’s no reason why not.
